The Challenge
- Worcesters Primary wanted to design out the problem of trapped fingers, but in a way that would blend seamlessly into the environment.
The Solution
The school initially requested 20 integral finger guards as part of an extension built offsite by Portakabin in 2014, and loved our finger guards so much that they later decided to replace all of their cracked plastic finger guards with our retrofit option, installing 80 of our finger guards in total.
With a patented finger ejection system, the retrofit finger guards offered superior finger safety whilst also providing durability as the polyurethane-backed fabric withstands knocks in high traffic environments.
Together, the integral and retrofit finger guards complemented each other perfectly, linking the existing building with the new extension, ensuring a continuous aluminium finish throughout.
