The Challenge

Ronald McDonald House Charity were keen to create a ‘home away from home’ environment for families, so any finger guards had to be discreet and unobtrusive.  However they also needed to be durable, especially for the high traffic nature of the accommodation, with multiple bathroom and kitchen areas, where the finger guards were likely to get wet and otherwise deteriorate over time.

The Solution

Designing out the problem of trapped fingers, our Integral Finger Guards offered superior safety, blending seamlessly into the environment and meeting the charity’s requirements of offering a comforting, unobtrusive and safe environment.

They also satisfied the charities durability requirements, lasting the lifetime of the door and providing cost savings of up to £1,000.

This was the start of a successful partnership that’s taken us from Manchester in 2012 to our most recent Ronald McDonald House Charity project at Guy’s & St.Thomas’ in London.
