Swiftstop, our collapsible anti-barricade doorstop, received the “Commended” award at the prestigious Design in Mental Health Network awards ceremony at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham last night.
Swiftstop is a collapsible anti-barricade doorstop which provides the fastest and safest anti-barricade access in Mental Health – affording access in under one second, while safely positioning staff clear of the door opening path. Swiftstop is available with either electronic Passport access card or key fob access or a mechanical Lifeline key.
The commendation was given in the category for Product Innovation of the Year and was collected by co-founders Martin Izod and Philip Ross. Technical Director, Martin Izod, said: “We’ve been developing this product for more than a year and this award recognises the efforts which our team has put into designing a product which is robust and safe, yet doesn’t compromise on looks.”
